On Saturday Aug. 7th, campus activity group DAWGS (Doing Activities With Great Spirit) hosted a Beach Bash event on the R lawn and Willis Center Patio. The event featured a water slide, water obstacle course, and various booths with Greek life organizations selling snacks like root beer floats and cotton candy. Although the heat, smoke, and rain weren’t the ideal weather conditions, attendees still had fun racing on the obstacle course and stayed cool with treats from sororities and fraternities.

Sorority Delta Kappa Psi sold root beer floats. 
Kappa Sigma Sigma (Birds) fraternity members had a free spin the wheel game where attendees could win items like shirts, tote bags, and fanny packs.

Adelaide is a sophomore majoring in Public Policy and Environmental Studies. She is from Las Vegas, Nevada and this is her second year as the culture section editor for the newspaper. She is also co-president of DAWGS and Vice President of Legacy and Logistics for RSG.
