University of Redlands was ranked as one of the 20 Best Deals on Small Colleges in California by Great College Deals. In this title, UofR earned the University the Great College Deals Badge of 2016. This list was formulated from an initial pool of 110 different universities and colleges located in California with a student body of 8,000 or lower and a net price below $34,000.
The institutions undergoing evaluation for the Top 20 greatest deal colleges and universities in California were assessed and ranked to meet a set standard of desirable qualities. Great College Deals, the organization that ranked the learning institutions, stated that the points awarded to the University of Redlands were based on “affordability, tuition return on investment, student-to-faculty ratio, faculty expertise, alumni engagement, recognition in education-related publications, career placement programs, and any additional features that added value to the college’s degree offerings.”
University of Redlands was ranked as the 7th best deal of all small colleges and universities in California. The UofR earned a total of 15 points, comparatively to the number one ranked college, Occidental, which earned a total of 17 points. University of Redlands has an enrollment of a respectable 5,215 students, and an affordable net price of $31,686. Not only is the University of Redlands the 7th best deal of small colleges in California, but it’s known for its beautiful campus, and an interdisciplinary liberal arts program that often produces bright minded individuals, such as the seventeen fulbright scholars in the past six years.
