Hello Bulldogs,
This past semester was successful as a publication producing a diverse portfolio of work. Student life at the University has undergone major changes through this last academic year and we were able to report on these transitions. We were able to produce impactful opinion pieces. We felt and observed the world around us and gave it our attention. The news came close to home and we were able to provide an outlet for the student body.
To continue this work, we need to grow as a staff. Anyone interested in writing for the paper or taking photos is welcome to join. The publication meets at 5:00 p.m. on Sundays in the Gannett Center. This publication will continue to bring national news close to home. In order to expand sports coverage, we are seeking passionate sportswriters reporting on Bulldog games. In times of difficulty, the publication needs well-grounded opinion pieces. We need increased coverage of diversity and culture on campus, as well as cultural reflections of media and the immediate world around us. This is an exciting opportunity to grow as a writer, and all levels of experience are welcome. Working for staff is also a paid position.
If you are interested, I urge you to join the team. I also want to thank you all for your continued readership. Let’s make 2019 an impactful year on campus.
Warm Wishes,
Briana Weekes
