2016 SPARC Retreat

The University of Redlands’ SPARC retreat will be held this Friday, Sept. 23 through Sunday Sept. 25. SPARC is a social justice retreat where students gather to discuss topics of intersectionality, the power of alliance-building, our social differences, oppression and privilege. The retreat will be held in Camp Wrightwood, where students will brainstorm activities and events that can be held throughout the school year to improve social justice on campus. This opportunity is especially important for freshman to build a social justice network, hear personal stories and build partnerships. The event is sponsored by the Campus Diversity and Inclusion, Residence life and housing, Johnston, SLIC (Student Life and Involvement Center), greek life, Community Service Learning (CSL) and Outdoor Programs. The group leaves campus Friday at 4 p.m., and will return on Sunday at 2 p.m.  It isn’t too late to attend! For more information contact zach_ritter@redlands.edu
